Instructions
1. When you see a problem on the screen, you have to give an answer. This means pressing number 1 if you think the solution to the problem is correct. Press number 2 when you think that the solution to the problem is incorrect. Please, use the numeric key pad, on the right side of the keyboard, to give your answer.
2. Answer as quickly as you can by pressing the appropriate key. The computer measures your response in thousands of a second. A "guessing" response is inappropriate. Try to avoid guessing.

The Mathematics Continuous Performance Test (MATH-CPT)

  • The MATH-CPT is a computerized CPT-type test (Continuous Performance Test) for clinical and research purposes.
  • It assess attention level and the possible existence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
  • The Math-CPT uses a sequence of simple arithmetic questions. Each answer is projected on the computer screen. Problem difficulty is low to enable quick response (no answer is greater than “9”).
  • During the test, one problem appears on the screen together with a result that could be right or wrong.
  • The participant must press ‘1’ for a correct answer or ‘2’ for an incorrect answer.
  • The price for one test is $8.00 to $10.00, depending on the number of tests purchased.
  • The MATH-CPT should not be administered to individuals with severe dyscalculia, as doing so my yield misleading results.

Adolescents and Adults Version

  • Designed for individuals` ages 12 to 90.
  • Uses problems of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • The test lasts approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
  • Sample correct question: 2 X 4 = 8,  Sample incorrect question: 9 : 3 = 4

Children and Adolescents Version

  • Designed for individuals’ ages 8 to 28.
  • Uses problems of addition and subtraction,
  • The test lasts approximately 6 to 16 minutes
  • Sample questions: 1 + 4 = 5, Sample incorrect question: 4 – 2 = 3
